Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to what principals most often ask before engaging RAS Equity.

01. Who does RAS Equity work with?

We work with high-net-worth principals, family offices, and private wealth clients across MENA, Global, and the Americas. Our practice is deliberately boutique — we take on a limited number of mandates at any time, by referral or introduction, rather than operating an open-market client book

02. Is RAS Equity a real estate brokerage?

No. We are positioned as private real estate counsel, not a retail brokerage. Our work centres on deal structuring, capital, and considered advisory for principals — closer to a private office register than a listings-driven agency. Where a transaction requires brokerage execution, we manage that process directly on the principal’s behalf

03. How do I engage RAS Equity?

By appointment or introduction. Most new relationships begin with a referral from an existing principal, family office, or professional adviser, followed by an initial conversation to understand your requirements before any mandate is agreed

04. Do you work with both buyers and sellers?

Yes. We act for principals acquiring property, principals seeking to sell or lease on a considered, often off-market basis, and investors structuring capital across multiple assets. Each mandate is scoped individually rather than run from a standard listing process.

05. Which areas do you cover?

Our primary focus is Dubai, with active mandates across communities including Palm Jumeirah, Emirates Hills, Dubai Marina, JLT, The Springs, and comparable freehold and branded-residence districts. Given our MENA, Global, and Americas reach, we also advise principals on cross-border capital and property matters beyond Dubai where relevant.

06. Do you handle off-market properties?

This is a core part of our practice. Many of our seller and buyer mandates are sourced and closed off-market — outside public portals such as Bayut or Property Finder — reflecting the discretion our principals typically require

07. What are your fees?

Fee structures depend on the nature and scope of the mandate — acquisition, disposal, leasing, or advisory — and are agreed individually with each principal before work begins. We’re happy to discuss indicative terms once we understand your requirements.

08. Do you assist with financing?

We work alongside banks, mortgage providers, and financial institutions to support principals through financing-related aspects of a transaction, and can make introductions where helpful. We do not provide financial advice directly; where needed, we coordinate with licensed advisers on the principal’s behalf

09. Do you handle legal or regulatory matters?

We advise principals on the practical real estate dimensions of a matter — for example, coordinating with DLD, developers, or trustees — but we are not a licensed law firm. Where a matter requires formal legal representation, we work alongside the principal’s own UAE-qualified lawyer

10. How do you handle confidentiality?

Discretion is central to how we operate. Client and principal matters are treated as private, mandates are handled on a need-to know basis internally, and we do not disclose a principal’s interest in a transaction beyond what is necessary to close it. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data specifically
